Dr. Tyler Fugere is a Board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist who is deeply committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered cancer care close to home. She was drawn to oncology early in her medical training, inspired by the strength, courage, and resilience she witnessed in her patients and their families.
A native of Benton, Arkansas, Dr. Fugere graduated summa cum laude from Benton High School. She earned her undergraduate degree from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia before attending the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, where she received her medical degree. She remained at UAMS to complete both her internal medicine residency and fellowship in hematology and oncology.
Dr. Fugere is passionate about delivering personalized oncology care tailored to the unique needs of each patient. She believes in building meaningful relationships with those she treats and guiding patients and families through every stage of their cancer journey with compassion, empathy, and clear communication.
She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Fugere enjoys spending time with her husband, Brad, whom she met while the two were in the marching band together at Benton High School. Together with their daughter, Evelyn, they enjoy hiking, camping, and exploring national parks on family road trips.
